1UV Gallery studio is seeking...
Sales Associate
...a self-motivated individual to sell advertising in 1UV MONTHLY, Art and Art objects by the American Multi-disciplinary Conceptual Fine Artist, Larissa, tickets for Gallery events, Gallery P/Matronage packages, and secure Affiliated Member Galleries.
1UV MONTHLY is an independent Slow Art & Culture magazine written, edited and published by Larissa from 1UV Gallery Studio in Saratoga, CA. Larissa's Art and Art Objects span a range of medium, subject and object matter and are all one of a kind.
Duties of the Sales Associate include:
- secure advertising by individuals, businesses and/or institutions for 1UV MONTHLY
- submitting advertising via company website
- generating and maintaining a client list for advertising, works of Art and events for 1UV Gallery Studio
- active/direct sale of Art works by the artist
- finding and securing off site exhibition opportunities and paid speaking engagements for the artist
- keeping an open line of communication with the artist and 1UV Gallery Studio about all advertising and sales leads
- assisting in the organization, promotion, registration and ticket sales of/for Gallery related events
- identifying and securing relevant candidates for Member Gallery status
- sale of Gallery P/Matronage Memberships
- distribution of 1UV MONTHLY to relevant communities and/or individuals
This is a commission based contract position that is mostly remote but requires the candidate to live near and be familiar with the California Bay Area. The amount of time spent on this job is up to the Associate.
Commission/compensation is 25% of ALL sales/revenue made by the Associate. An initial 2-3 day (unpaid) on-site Gallery training and subsequent monthly face to face on-site Gallery meeting is required. Associate will also be required to be on-site for all ticketed events.
Candidate must:
- be a minimum of 21 years of age
- speak, read and write English
- be able to work legally in the United States
- demonstrate a true passion for Art and the Arts
- demonstrate a knowledge of Art history and varied Art techniques
- have some type of direct sales experience
- be committed to maintaining scheduled appointments
- be friendly and out-going
- demonstrate high level organizational and communication skills
- demonstrate an understanding and practice of Slow Culture
- be able to work independently
- have their own reliable transportation
Bi-lingual candidates and those with college level Art credits are preferred but neither are required.
Figure Model(s)
...professional, experienced figure models to work with on a monthly basis.
Duties include:
- nude and/or partially draped posing for the artist for one three hour session per month
This is a part time contract position requires the candidate to be on-site.
Compensation is $80 paid at the end of each session.
Candidate must:
- be a minimum of 21 years of age
- speak English
- be able to work legally in the United States
- demonstrate a true passion for Art and the Arts
- be committed to maintaining scheduled appointments
- have a (mostly) natural body, free of plastic surgeries (tattoos and/or medical prosthesis welcome)
- have your own reliable transportation
Independent Acoustic Musician(s)
...independent, acoustic musicians (no vocalists) to play at selected Gallery Events.
Duties include:
- playing one to three sets of music per contracted event
This is an intermittent part time contract position that requires the candidate to be on-site.
Compensation is: 1 full page color advertisement for the musician and any services the musician may offer in 1UV MONTHLY, promotion in 1UV Gallery Studio bi-monthly e-newsletter, reserved/priority space for marketing materials on 1UV's bulletin board, any tips you receive, and dinner for you and a guest on the day you perform.
If you are performing for a ticketed event you will receive 10% of ticket sales/the door and a ticket for 1 guest. You are encouraged to sell CDs and/or promote any other upcoming gigs on the day of your performance.

- be a minimum of 21 years of age

- demonstrate proficiency of your instrument
- be committed to maintaining scheduled appointments
- have your own reliable transportation
Contributing Columnist(s)
...regularly Contributing Columnist(s) for recurring Art and/or local Culture Columns.

Duties include:
- generating and editing original non-AI Slow-Art-related content relevant to 1UV MONTHLY's readership

This is a part time remote contract position, with the exception of a monthly face to face on-site Gallery meeting.

Compensation is: the freedom of your own voice free of editorial manipulation, a headshot with bio, plus other compensation to be negotiated upon agreement to contribute.

- be a minimum of 21 years of age
- speak, read and write fluent English
- be able to work legally in the United States
- demonstrate journalistic writing proficiency
- demonstrate ability to meet deadlines
- demonstrate and understanding and practice of Slow Art
- be committed to maintaining scheduled appointments
- have your own reliable transportation
